The flowers in the background are from original paintings I created in a small flat in Paris. It was created partially as a response to living far away from pastoral landscapes. It was a first to combine previously created work (the flower paintings) with the drawings of animals on skin.
During this series of drawings of rats on skin, I explored taking the photographs further away from purely documentation by creating new visual liaisons.
