In response to this misquote from Ulysses which is used by the James Joyce pub award. An award given to pubs in Ireland which are deemed to be 'authentic Irish pubs' based on described in Ulysses. The actual quote is 'Good puzzle would be cross Dublin without passing a pub'. The use of this quote purposely seeks to feed into and off marketable and romantic notions what Ireland and the Irish are. With the intention of attracting tourism from overseas particularly those from the extended Irish diaspora.
