The head of Anxiety, and the Craving were engendered by fear and that which is viewed punitive. These works have a single purpose; the representation of emotion. There are many emotions, these one however, being some of the most dangerous. "I have very rarely represented complete repose, i have always tried to paint inner feelings through the mobility of body . . . with out life, art does not exist."
In Craving, Belle had just been riding through Exmoore, in the south west of England. She sat up on some felled tree logs, had no where else to go, and spoke right down the barrel of her friends camera "stay with me".
Jane Cooney A fantastic piece of work - the eyes really draw you in.
