ABOUT THE WORK
'Hazard Yet Forward' witnesses an entrepreneur straining against a hostile wind. His head is tilting forward, perhaps in determination, perhaps in defence against the cold. The air threshes twigs and grit, while a ray of hope (or maybe the eye of the storm) hovers near the horizon, attracting our subject's attention. He's pushing on regardless of his fear or the risks.
I saw the title of this work inscribed on the back of a Victorian steam ride many years back. Its economy and gritty cheer has sometimes provided encouragement in some of my darker moments.

LIMITED EDITION PRINT
This is a limited edition print - one of 100. It's signed by the artist and numbered.
MEDIUM AND MATERIALS
This digital collage was made using painted and photographic textures, bezier tools and a variety of light-based creative software programs and visual processing routines I built myself. Some digital brushes and paints were used too.
It's printed using an advanced photo process onto Kodak Professional Endura Metallic VC paper, a digital C-type photgraphic paper with a rich metallic base and a larger colour gamut than real physical paints. The colours have a reflective, soft metallic and 3-dimensional feel to them and they're guaranteed to archival standards, around one to two hundred years. It's supplied un-mounted, so you can frame as you wish.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
This work comes with an illustrated and hologrammed certificate of authenticity, which has comprehensive details of the work and a warranty.
OPTIONAL FRAMING AND PROTECTION
If you wish, the work can be protected with a matt acrylic seal, extending its life and protecting it from UV (extra £15). Further, if you prefer a ready-to-hang work, I can have it professionally mounted on a modern aluminium substrait, completely air-sealed behind perspex, protecting the work from scuffs or damage, further extending its archival life and supply with it a wall-fixing subframe. My London framers are top quality. This costs an extra £185. To order this, simply message me via Saatchi, and I will revise the total price, deliveries and contract on this page accordingly before you buy.
ROAMING SERIES
This work is part of the Roaming series, a collection of travel and location-based works, made mainly in 2012. They portray the sights, emotions and events of various spots I've travelled to (or some I wish I had), and they go back as far as my childhood.
