this body
surrenders
to the fall
of opening possibilities
the winds
refraction and reflection
continue the story maelstrom
moonlight plays
with the sluggish entrails
of game on
faltering
in the never life of a battery
whose use by date
has long since been reached
it’s charge uncannily firing
with such force
along sewers of half forgotten memories
that moonlight
masquerades
as daylight
and what should be backwaters
gathers thoughts
in such torrents
the memory gates
