This is one of a series of collages created in the summer of 2011 in Berlin. Inspired by the city, I used found paper from museums, shops, bus and train tickets to create the work.
All these ancient stone monuments were in a warehouse that was bombed and caught on fire in the war. When the cold water from fire hoses hit the stone they shattered. The background image is the sculpture garden at the new gallery where the 'missing' degenerate art hangs on the walls.

Raymond Leggott Thanks Ken, many people like the simple graphic nature of this piece. I think I'll use this style to continue to pare back my work and increasingly simplify it.
