"Let Me Go" is a series about the hard emotions one must endure in order to reach perspective. The weeds were specifically chosen, scanned and illustrated to symbolize the concept: Draining ones strength, holding on to past memories, hoping to move on and not move two steps back. The Birds are a symbol of taking flight, the ribbon caught up and restricting, the nest, the beginning of a new home. The nature in which I have confronted this drawing with symbology suggests a type of uncertainty in each decision I make, yet I remain positive with beautiful imagery, hoping for a "happily ever after".297 x 420
