Thematically and aesthetically my work deals with theology and religious art. I’m not concerned with the accuracy or the ‘truth’ of religion, I’m interested in its history and its effect on...
My work revolves around my passion for art history, art aesthetic concepts and philosophies. I try to understand the mechanics of these influences through my work by subverting them, although my work is dense with references, my work is not intended to be a visual puzzle to be solved. My goal is to share and for my viewers to have fun and create their own interpretations. My work has been labeled pious, blasphemous, sexist and feminist, to name but a few, each viewer has their own interpretation, but all agree my work is controversial, fun and challenging.
