In the garden, 2010
(Dog, Christmas tree, Parrot, Lemon Tree). Video Installation
In the Garden is mostly about the fear of forgetting. As I get older and my visits home become less frequent, my illusion of home becomes less concrete. My homecoming experiences and memories seem out of place, different, as I grow separate from home.
In the Garden is my attempt to hold on to old companions, the family dog, Christmas holidays, garden hide outs and parrot conversations. I force them to remain as still as objects. They become the mise-en-scène of my void.
