Adam Budak is Curator for Contemporary Art at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC. Previously he was curator of contemporary art at the Kunsthaus Graz am Landesmuseum Joanneum in Graz. He has curated many international exhibitions including Protections: This is Not an Exhibition and Volksgarten: Politics of Belonging. He was co-curator of Manifesta 7 and a guest curator for Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdansk. For a number of years he has been curated contemporary art exhibitions at the Bunkier Sztuki/Bunker of Contemporary Art Gallery, Krakow and recently co-established a postgraduate studies program in curatorial practice and theory at the Art History Institute of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
