The Convent Gallery/Daylesford:"Her work takes on a life of it's own totally UNIQUE, EXCITING, CHALLENGING, CONFRONTATIONAL,EMOTIONAL....... "HERE":http://www.conventgallery.com.au/Thoughts on CreativityMaybe it is a spoken word , maybe a written word, music of the soul, a fleeting image of the past, a shadow on a wall, a moment of anger, of happiness but the seed begins its evolution towards completion, creating frenetic havoc within the paths of thought as the images are being stretched, weaving ,casting seemingly uncontrollable webs through every pulsing vessel of the minds experiences .This evolution and completion evicts the demons and ghosts instantly, immediately vaporates the emotion of the mind and the process re-ignites . The moment of creation, a flight of unveiling, unmasking the mind and upon completion , satisfying , but upon closure becomes of very little relevance , cast into a void , as within a moment another image or word comes to play the game within the passages of thought. She regards the camera is a tool, a magic weapon of capture, an instant art form through a lense, a means to an end.The image cries to be captured , time may take it away in an instant , the crucial moment realised. It comes and calms the mind and smoothes the edges. It is within the mind these images fuse together. In Japan she immersed herself in the culture and with limited photographic ,technological and art experience embraced this artform with a bizarre passion taking the images and transforming and fusing them within her mind whilst creating within no boundaries. She began a most amazing journey of discovery about herself and others. Producing 2 cd's of images/"Winter Knights" & "Images of Fuji"/for the Homeless of Hiroshima and the "Clean up Fuji" campaign gave her purpose whilst becoming more computer comfortable.. She started basic 2 layering using this tool as her weapon : her paintbrush to record her thoughts,as a writer with a pen. From Japan she moved to Shanghai and after discussion and encouragement from the editor of the magazine, "that's shanghai"/Stephen Crane , she began to confront and merge herself in more complex layering of images ,acquired through trial and error and it was then she realized the power of telling stories through the photographs she was taking. As her knowledge broadened, her images have become more challenging ,controversial ,confrontational and political to the viewer but then she also believes that the viewer may return again and again and make new discoveries and really interpret as they wish . She has been unable to separate her asian experiences and they have become as one within her mind.Influenced byHiroshima & Tong li artistsArtists of Morganshan/Shanghai.Chinese Artists:Zhang XiaogangChen YuCreative photographs exhibited at Photoimaging Expo.'07Work featured in Art Gallery Guide Australia/May June 2007Exhibition at the Convent Gallery/July, August, September/2007 1st Solo Exhibition "Diary of the Mind".Opened Sunday 8th July/2007BALLARAT INTERNATIONAL FOTO BIENNALE/SEPT./'09TOXIC:EAST MEETS WESTThis series depicting man/ the creator of the Maskof inhumanityThe complete 10 creative LIMITED EDITION prints sold to a private collector.Reminded by the Biennale Board that this is a rarity.Editions also bought by Convent Gallery Archiveswww.ballaratfoto.org Born Australia/MelbourneFeatured in Art Gallery Guide /AustraliaMay-June/2007Member of FreeradicalMember of Melbourne Camera Club.Member of the Royal Photographic SocietyMember of HONGKONG CAMERA CLUB.Member Ballarat Foto BiennaleMember of Camberwell Camera ClubMember:Women's Art RegisterMember:Australian Photographic Societyredbubble.com.au/people/shanghaiwuwww.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/onlineshanghaiwu/flickrPassionforpixelsww//peculi.com www.thebigboxofcolours.orgAudiovisuals on/http://www.youtube.com/watchWWW:ART BREAK.comFacebookListed in the Whos Who in Photography 2008/P.S.A.Member of CREATIVE MASTERS.Images sold for OXFAMArticles for photographic periodical "EXPOSURE"/cover images.Continuing monthly articles and images for Exposure/throughout 2010Photographer of the month/Jan/'10FUSIONartPHOTOGRAPHY creating whilst on the wing of a bird...........!BALLARAT INTERNATIONAL FOTO BIENNALE www.ballaratfoto.org YAFFA PUBLISHING http://www.yaffa.com.au/digital/
