I was born in Manchester England. I attended Oldham and Stockport Art Colleges. I helped to form the Embryo Group which consisted of a collective group of painters, sculptors and poets. I now live in Royton near Oldham. I paint the world around me. This is the starting point for my paintings. I don't produce photographic copies but use the subject as a starting point to create a unique image which has its own poetry and meaning.
