Bogdan Zareba Basquiat had been much better,
I would never dare to work in the same style.

Fred Spratt I'm never sure what to make of these collections... Some people take a clear influence from the artist, but are taking it in their own direction, which is great to see. Others however, work as if the aspire to work exactly like him. Those artists should be ashamed of themselves.

Bronislava Slagle As much as I hate to be influenced by any artist I still think we all get influenced in some way... and occasionally work nearly "exactly" like them. Why because it is soooooooo hard to make a new style these days - all the styles have been thought of already, so what do you do to stand out? What do you do to create an art that no one has ever done?

Chris Waddington Interesting little collection. Its been a so called 'taboo' by some critics and fans to show Basquiat's influence. You can copy/be influenced by anyone, there are no sacred cows,Basquiat included. Its how you transcribe and make it your own that counts. Most copies are simply bad though,Lazy and insincere cop outs.Only a few of his early works hold up now,he did not live long enough to mature as an artist due to various pressures and problems.
i knew this guy he was a poet

Colin Sheehan great stuff but not basquiat. I like the appreciation but you need to take what he's done and expand on it not replicate. Easier said than done. And an answer to the woman who asked how do you make something that hasn't already been done. Paint from the heart and it will show. Nothing is original anymore and it never was. Thats how this world works. Even the greatest artists derived their work from something else
