Brian Curtin is an Irish-born curator and critic based in Bangkok. Curatorial projects include ‘Here, There, Now: Contemporary Art from India’ for Gallery Soulflower in 2007, ‘Sensational Selves: Thinking through the Human Body in Some Recent Art from Bangkok’ for the Art Center of Chulalongkorn University in 2008 and, with Professor Steve Dutton, ‘Unspeaking Engagements’, which travelled between Bangkok and Coventry University in the UK during 2009-10. Curtin was the curator of the Southeast Asian section of the 2011 Chongqing Youth Biennale, China, and is currently programming and curating for H Gallery Bangkok and H Project Space. Projects in 2012 include 'On the Threshold of the Senses: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia' for Tally Beck Contemporary in New York and a joint curated exhibition for Richard Koh Fine Art in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He writes for Frieze, Flash Art and Artforum.com, amongst other publications.
