Ulrich de Balbian I'm not sure what Nina means by the 'price tags are disgusting'? If attaching a visible price to a work or art, or prints, are meant, or if the prices themselves appear to be too high or too low? We can't escape the fact that in today's world everything comes with a price tag, including 'art objects'. And, few artists, if any, have control over the price of their work. Just have a look at the criteria employed to evaluate the price of a work of art, for example at Artprice.com. I wonder how many

Ulrich de Balbian I wonder ho many are aware that the top 500 contemporary artists are identified according to their sales during the last financial year. And, that roughly 400 of them are Chinese, as the art market has shifted from Europe and the US to China and Asia.

Ulrich de Balbian The artist has little control over the price tag place attached to his work. No wonder that graduates and young artists are given assistance by handbooks and sites such as http://www.artright.co.za. They provide free resource of business, legal and educational tools, documents, information for the visual arts community.

Astrid Fitzgerald It's a beautiful collection. I didn't know abstract expressionism was well and alive. However, what I miss here is another very strong trend alive Europe and the US, mainly geometric abstraction. Take a look at http://www.geoform.net/
Isa Gonçal I love the selection rounds of saatchionline, for selection work of art, is a very innovative idea.

Tom Voight Aldous Huxley called it once "collective dementia" if many people do or say the same thing just to be a part of a group.
In my opinion this collection is far from beeing "great".
I like only one art work here.
It is "Force of Will", what expresses the title very well.
Jiri Kobos The bold language of Abstract Expressionism, some understand it and some don't, to some it is pure sound to others just noise, whichever it may be, it is just 'itself'. Congratulations to all the artists in this collection for their bravery.

Andrew Barton I LOVE abstract art. It is the foundation for all art. Although I produce figurative art myself, it is always done with the abstract principles in mind; form, composition, ornament, repetition, tone, colour, etc. So it always suprises me when I see some "abstract artists" who do not understand these principals. Its the base reason for all beauty, the abstract
