Fabián Andrade™
Was born in 1981 in Swansea, Wales. His parents were Chilean political refugees at the time the country was under Pinochet's military regime. He finished his studies as Bachelor Graphic Design at Arcis University in Santiago de Chile, working in methodologies of production for motion graphics Optimising Synestesia. After worked as media artist, illustrator, designer, animator & developer and VJ, he has becoming one of the most well-known chilean designers, he also was academic in the Institute of Crossmedia Technology. His professional career has been related to art, video games and interactive programming, and architectural projections as well as digital and commercial media.
In his work Fabz™ takes culture elements from different the pre-colombian cultures of latin america, and confront them with a digital production methods, exploring the delicate balance between cultural cosmovision and the techonologic revolution, his unique style is mixing the latin american graphics with elements of manga and street art, recreating life in forms of imaginary landscapes in a completely digital work.
Description: Its a series of 7 allegoric illustrations, based on the problems in the energetic centers of the human body using the repetition and the imperfection to explore a blooming world of ethereal parasites displayed in non symmetrical mandalas.
