Nikos Smyrnios, was strongly influenced by the latest great art movements of Pop and Op Art, as he grew up in the sixties.
A winner of the Swedish Institute scholarship, he got his education in the National Art and Design College of Stockholm, the heart of Scandinavian design.
Smyrnios has a wide international professional background as a graphic artist. Being very well familiarized with digital media, he has developed some innovative techniques and a very strong visual profile.
The artist creates works which can vary from straight geometric op art motifs to more expressive and painterly themes.
The final outcome of Smyrnios’ work are original pen drawings, paintings (oil, acrylic or mixed media on canvas or on aluminum plates), but also digital prints.
