My childhood was marked by constant changes and moves: Morocco, Spain, France, England and finally Venezuela.
During my life time, I have worked at several trades: singer in a rock band; painter; designer; photographer and commercials director for television and film spots in Caracas, Venezuela.
In the seventies I found a means of expression in informal painting, which allowed me to drain my emotions through the use of materials such as industrial paint, sand, cloth and ropes. The use of these elements is compromised to a parallel, esthetic and metaphorical tropical narrative with where I constructed my own language. I used my hands directly in the performance of the work. This allowed me direct contact with the materials and the canvas in process, and above all, to establish a bridge between that which is most invisible of my self and the image my hands are creating. This is what made that process magical and divine to me giving me hope of spiritual release.
Today, this hole experience has led me to a better self in a renewed life. I have become a constant traveler and work my images on the go on my iPhone. Digital Art, Photography and Video are created during my journeys and express situations that can only be experienced in this manner. This is what I name Mobile Art.…Read More
