My life's passion is drawing. This has been clear to me from a very early age. I grew up in the Brooklyn Museum spending hours a day losing myself in the ever changing various exhibits. Those explorations deep into the spirit of a variety of works assisted me in channeling my inner creator which translates into my works.
My collections are called "Anomalies", "Geo-Anomalies" and "Potraits." The abstracts represent my interpretation of the molecular biology of extraterrestrial beings.
I enjoy working with grids, or with geometric shapes in the negative space.
I'm fascinated with shape and form. I like to draw in pastels, compressed charcoal and color pencil. In the midst of creating I envision ways to make organic form feel alive in three dimensions. My portraits reflect my interest in human anatomy.
My entire body of work is dedicated posthumously to my father, Aaron Yarensky (1918-1982)
Artist I admire are Paul Cezanne, Mark Rothko, Albert Bierstadt, and Thomas Hart Benton.…Read More
