Angelika Weigelt

Angelika Weigelt

About

Just born and untouched by daily life. The fresh canvas is for me as a young child. Soon the first signs are visible, manifest your first impressions. Lines and colors take on the vivid experience of this new "life". The ripening of Life goes on, the surface was scratched and shows long forgotten experience again. New coats of paint legalize or hide again.
Cycles of ebb and flow, means that a dry painting process changes with wet ones, it´s my artistic analogy for living on the coast.
My works are all created in dialogue with experimentally induced processes. These incidental circumstances I encounter with a conscious development. My creative method of painting could be called "controlled chance". My interest in topics of philosophy, mysticism, and generally with its laws of nature, comes in my paintings to express.
