Andy Clover is an artist who likes to work with ideas, mining the recesses of his mind for old impulses or long forgotten memories and combining them with incoming strands from a multitude of other sources. His work is unavoidably influenced by the mass media and popular culture, but also draws references from literature, overheard conversations, graffiti and art theory.

Clover enjoys the freedoms of post-modernity and produces work with various media including graphics, drawing, glass, light, painting and installation. Much of his recent work has involved found and converted objects, often utilising existing lights and electronic components or left over elements of text or imagery. His subject matter varies considerably but often includes references to existential anxiety, philosophical issues and the struggle of day-to-day life. Despite this, his work is often humourous and irreverent.
