About

Born Radcliffe, Manchester 1970.Currently painting in the Netherlands.My paintings largely develop from intuitive, cognitive drawings. They are shots at reconciling the spiritual and the everyday, the comical and the solomn. The paintings are as much adventures in spontaneity as exercises in planning. Underpinning my work is the desire to paint in the most direct fluid way, a method that goes beyond cliches of expressionism and pretense. Attempts to connect the outside world to the inner levels of existence.
