Andrea comes from a hungarian-romanian family of northern Transilvania. Raised and educated by her paternal grandfather who was a master of church art and left behind a lifework of 64 churches painted and renovated by him everywhere in Transylvania. Him and his lifework was the main influence of her life. Still for long , until her young adulthood she had put art aside and earned a BA in Sociology . After a turnaround of life changing events, and switching continents, she started to dig up her inner roots and ended up in more of brushes and camera use. :)
Today she is a member of the Association of Visual Arts of Satumare, where she lives and works and participated in collective exhibitions organized by the association. Also her work was chosen for exhibition in Novotel Bucharest by the British Council during their annual photo contest.
In her work she carries influences from traditionalist peasant elements to naive religious elements, abstract form play, toward subtle expression of thoughts. …Read More
