I paint because it is my place of freedom, my language of expression, a mean for me to communicate my feelings, and to tell my story. It is about my fascination with the beauty, life's big and small events, people around me. It is simple and complex, as I analyze it through my own perception, and my philosophy about values and meaningful relationships. My first oil painting I did at the age of 15. Since then, I have many local and international shows, and my artworks are in many private and corporate collections in Armenia, Russia, Australia, India, Canada, France, and US. Prior to my emigration to US in 1991 I was an elected member of the Art Union of (former) USSR and an art instructor at the Yerevan State College of Arts. I received my MFA from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco, California, have BA from the Yerevan State Academy of Arts, Armenia, and in the spring of 2013 completed M.Ed in Content Area from the Marylhurst University, Marylhurst, Oregon.
I work almost in all medias but mainly in oil and acrylic/mixed media. More details are available on my website…Read More
