Xanthus Andrews

About

Xanthus’s current work focuses on the relationship between the artwork and its situation as well as the manipulation of the viewer by the artwork. This has lead to an interest in curation and site specificity. Working in a range of media including painting, drawing and sculpture the exploration and the depiction of constructed space is examined, reducing content where possible, via a play with colour, line and form. Whilst the conceptual element of the work is extremely important, a firm hold on the physical aspects of production is emphasised.
