Anibal Vallejo

Anibal Vallejo

About

1975 born in Medelln, Colombia.

In Anibal Vallejo´s work of art there is a clear reference of childhood collectionism: a tambourine, a boat, the dog, the sea, the open sky, memories mostly in forgetfulness that are present in the iconography of his proposal. The epic of his pieces of art is reflected in his timeless characters, some looking with endless sadness. Simbolic elements: the courtesan chair, the deer with its gracefulness, the forest shrivelled by the coldness, all with a skepticism that is underlined in the empty space in which his characters are set up.

… Federico Fellini would say: “our dreams are our only real life”. The work of art of Anibal Vallejo writes his own memoir.
