Having studied Art and Design and worked in computer games and CGI for production I take a mixed media approach to creating images, though the experimentation in 3d holds a particular fascination. Using both traditional drawing skills and computer based tools allows variety and choices previously unavailable. While studying Art, and in particular sculpture, I was inspired by Umberto Boccioni's 'Unique Forms of Continuity in Space'. The Futurist movement drove the idea of modernism in the early 1900's, rejecting established traditional methods of painting and sculpting and embraced the industrial revolution and technology. 3d printing is an exciting area to explore, making forms that are more complex without bounds.
