Statement - Harmony of Abstraction and Presence:
The important aspects of my work are: "a high degree of abstraction" which can stimulate audiences to think freely about my works and a "strong sense of presence", which impacts on the viewer at the moment they perceive my work. These aspects may appear to conflict but my attempts to harmonise them is an important quality of my work. I continue to make efforts to synthesise these two aspects in my work.
