Colin Pearce became a Photographer in 2008, following a highly successful career working for
The Tussauds Studios (1997-2008) producing wax portrait figures for Madame Tussauds Worldwide.
His wide-ranging oeuvre exploits RAW elements including seed pods, discarded feathers and cut artichoke hearts, to core materials of earth, cloth, plastic. His Photography develops these paradoxes into powerful, conceptual works that can be figurative or abstract in form. At the very heart of what he portrays is the beauty and fragility of life, always a delicate balance. He made his exhibition debut at Landmark Art Fair (2009). His first photograph The White Forest (2008) was used by their Curator as the campaign image for this event. It went on to be published in important art publications including The Royal Academy of Arts RA Magazine (2009). He has exhibited in many important group and solo exhibitions including Parallax AF (2011) Untitled Art Fair (2011) Riverhouse Barn (2010) and Landmark Art Fair (2010). In 2011 he became a permanent Artist at Skylark 2 Gallery within the OXO Tower on the South Bank in London. He takes an active role in helping to run the Gallery and works a regular shift there. He also has work on permanent show at Gallery 63a in Kingston upon Thames. In 2012, his photography was awarded a commendation in the highly acclaimed competition International Garden Photographer of the Year (5) at Kew Gardens.

Most recently, Colin has submitted work for the RA Summer Exhibition 2012, Cork Street Open Exhibition 2012 and International Garden Photographer of the year (6). In June, he will be the featured Artist at Skylark Gallery with a large show of his work.
