I am interested in fairy tales and ancient myths.
I explore displacement, identity construction, layers of history, and layers of memory.

Recent work - a series on îles Flottantes: Refugees and displaced people become 'floating islands' in our time -cut off from what they knew and loved.

What will become of them and their roots? What will become of their children?
Now I am exploring abundance and joy and the darker dreams.

I also like to work with dreams and nightmares and I make them visible to you.

I was born in Germany. I lived and studied in Berlin, Dublin and London. I am a trained sociologist (MA / PhD). My main research fields are feminist studies, Irish studies and the study of other minorities.
