Rosi Garita.


Education.

Born in Costa Rica. Living in Canada since 1982. Studied art in : Universidad de Costa Rica in 1970. In 1971 travel to México and studied art in Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autonoma de Mexico. In 1972 travel to United State and studied drawing and painting in New Jersey. In 1985 took courses of paint in private schools and private art teachers in Montreal. Took lesson drawing in human figure, specially women in La Universite de Montreal.
Work as a book illustrator, designer of clothes and hats, owned two restaurants in Montreal, ( Restaurant Irazu and Restaurant Tropico ) that used like art galleries.
Was the creator of CALA, Centro de Arte Latinoamericano in 1997, and was the art director of the center until 2004.
