Paula Baader's paintings begin as fully rendered sketches in her head, and very quickly she translates these into works on canvas. Among her favourite subjects are people's rooms, artists' studios and places which evoke strong memories for her. Blurred landscapes, perhaps a rainy atmosphere, create a sense of looking out of the window through gauzy curtains or snow falling. Paula is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Münster, and was the winner of our recent "In Living Colour" Showdown.
