I live in a beautiful area of Scotland, Aberdeen, which inspired the Scottish "Seascapes" and 'Landscapes".
I am fascinated by Japanese art techniques. I combined my love of seascapes with Japanese wood block printing in the "Stones" collection.
I'm interested in the natural environment and am a keen hillwalker and gardener, which lead to the "Flowers", "Plants" and "Trees" collection. From a floral perspective, I often paint roses and enjoy growing. My gardening and Japanese interest lead to creating the bamboo prints, as well as developing a Japanese garden at home,
An artist friend told me that the best way to improve one's drawing skills is to study lifedrawing, hence the "Lifedrawing" collection.

My first degree was in Geography, which combined my love of the natural environment with design and architecture which lead to the "Houses" and "Pyramids" collections.
My second degree was I.T. Management, worked as a global web portal expert for a worldwide organisation for 21 years as well as creating a MSc course in I.T. Management for an Aberdeen University. The logical mindset required for that type of work made me appreciate logic and patterns hence the "Patterns" collection!
I'm also interested in the holistic self, either through natural medicine or self expression such as art, which lead to the "Abstract and Mystical" collection.
I enjoy using different art techniques and mediums - charcoal, inks, painting (watercolour, Gouache, acrylics), printing (screen, solarplate, wooden blocks, Intaglio), textile and mixed media. … Read More

Collections
