Born Bronx, New York, USA, 1946. Graduate: Adelphi University, Garden City, New York. Began photographing the world around me at age 8 using Kodak Brownie "Starflash". I rediscovered photography as student in photomicrography at Adelphi University, Garden City,New York. I began exhibiting my lifetime of photos after age 60. I currently reside in Germantown, Maryland, near Washington, DC.The photographers eye filters images through the minds eye to create individual visions. I seek to insert something of myself into each image, whether a captured thought or memory, a statement, or a personal connection that will endure. The extent to which a work resonates with the viewer determines the acceptance of the photographers vision in their mind as each image is subjectively graded. My university degree in biology enabled me to work on early liver transplant research. I was exposed to an animal virus that, 30 years later, required that I have a liver transplant. I learned to express my emotions through poetry and photography, which I occasionally put together, printing a poem superimposed over a photograph. I try to express myself emotionally through my creative side. The concept of sharing, as with organ donation and transplantation has always been part of my adult life. Post transplant, I've finally chosen to share my art with others. I am planning to publish or have published a book featuring my poetry combined with my photography. Life's challenges are universal. A number of poems have already been published on line and in print. A number of my photos I've sold both publicly and to private collectors. I've also successfully applied hundreds of photos to commercial products for sale and have 2 product lines, a line of flirtatious wear called "Ask" and a collection of "Save Our Planet" environmental related images. I've exhibited publicly for about 3 years. In April 2009 and 2010, I sold many pieces during my one man exhibit at Georgetown University in Washington DC. I've been invited back as the artist of the month for April, 2011 as well.
