About

Born in Stockholm,Sweden 1959My major art experience was in 1966,visiting Niki de Saint Phalles "SHE" at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.I love positivity and beauty,I love laughter and happiness, I love... I've named my paintings as "Popicons", because there is always a person portrayed in a pop-art way.Japan is my source of inspiration. The old woodcuts with motifs of women with amazing haristyles, red mouths and dressed in kimonos with beautiful patterns give me some of my inspiration. Now interpreted in my work, where I want to unite the modern woman and the modern expression with traditional form and composition. With the women in my paintings I want to convey Ultra femininity as well as the strong and courageous woman, breaking with old tradition and setting her own path. In my paintings I often use motifs symbolizing the four different seasons, and some also have haiku-poems painted in calligraphy.

To deveIop and try new territories I also started working digitaly and can now create images for print on any material, this has widened my possibilities and I can now create anything anywhere in a different way.
