Statement
In my work I am pursuing the seemingly utopian idea of a better world. The question of the meaning of life is the desire which haunts us because we have withdrawn ourselves the confidence to be subjects of a perfection of this world. The fantastic belief in a fairminded world through the intervention of a higher power gives us the hope that we apparently need.
I take myself to the search for the mind, the sense of existence, apparently being lost in our time. My works describe the beginning of a mistake being developed by a society marked by prejudice. The individual works stand for something that remains hidden by the homage to a multimedia faith.
The origin of my work can be found in my audio-visual experience, e.g. from movies, photos, reports, words, music and dreams. From the selection and combination of these perceptions my pictures are created. There are tragedies, consent and revolt, apparently banal and extravagant.
My snapshots are also evidence from my own internal quarry, on which bodies, lines and surfaces of imagined dream worlds are displayed.
