The exhibition "Atelier ‘85" (“Workshop ‘85”) is a special event for the public from Călărăşi, but also for the exposing artist, Maria Bogatu, the works on the easel being created during the preparation for the entrance examination at the Institute of Fine Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu", when the plastic artist put all her talent and energy to serve the whole idea of beauty, coupled with long exercise in front of the easel.
This is the exhibition of her life not only because of the quality of the 85 compositions, but also by incorporating itself retrospective experience and results under the sign of exemplarity.
The interest in portrait, in still life forms, in artistic anatomy, shows an option to approach on one hand, naturalist, on the other, academic, the primary form being designed in terms of building regulate plastic elements.
Characters mentioned inner feelings through poetry, faces out of sight or hidden emotions which suggest a victory of man over its permanence are elements found in these works of very good quality of execution.
Subject to external evaluation represents a psychological profile overlaps that counterpoints the immediate identification of the inner world. Maria Bogatu distributed around faces an aura of mystery, the mystery that not always allows revealing the magic of being around.
Seriousness of her study in the studio of master Aurel Nedelea is visible in the exhibition of high aesthetics, where academic drawings, well-practiced, sketches made by the minute with the safety of a long experience with artists, and drawings which long lingered to reveal the accuracy of safe execution are put in front of proportion, the layout and composition, modeling and modulation of line, color display, sensitivity by color or grays, that give the washed drawings the fragile preciosity of her work.
