Laurence Winram
About
Born in Aberdeen in 1968 and raised by wolves. Now a photographer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I have recently been creating ambiguous tableaus designed to draw in the viewer into an ambiguous drama. Like scenes from the middle of a fabricated history I want to invite the viewer to speculate on their own interpretation of that story.
The artists Hieronymus Bosch, Cindy Sherman, Kahn and Selesnick, are all influences on my work. Please contact me if you would like to see more, or if you wish to purchase or exhibit my work.
In 2011 My image ' The watchers' was one of two finalists in the Saatchi showdown competition and is currently on show in the Saatchi gallery.
