About

Born 14/11/44 in Haifa, Palestine, I completed my early schooling in French schools in the Middle East, but returned to the UK for my secondary and further educationAlthough I started out life as a Biologist, I was lucky to be able to change tack and now am a committed artist, glass artist. Although always a painter, glass work stretches the horizons so much further.
Work
I have a variable teaching load, but mostly work to commission and for exhibitions.
Education
BSc Hons, Class 1, 1967, Leeds University, England.Dip Ed, Class 1, 1968, University College, Cardiff, Wales. M.Phil (Epidemiology) Edinburgh University, Scotland 1991. From 1992 Open College of the Arts (Painting) and Leith School of Art (Painting).I have served as Secretarty and am currently Chair of the Scottish Glass Society.Every year I exhibit with the Scottish Glass Society in a variety of Galleries. In September 2009 I took part in a performance art piece for the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square, London as part of Antony Gormley's 'oneandother' installation.

In 2008 I completed 8 glass panels for the newly refurbished Inverkeithing Civic Centre

ART for JAPAN is an exhibition I curated with painters and glass artists as well as a photographer and potter which took place in Balerno Parish Church in June 2011 to raise money for the survivors of the recent disasters in Japan.

Exhibitions

In 2011 I exhibited in the Scottish Glass Society 'Trove' exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery.

I regularly exhibit at the Harbour Gallery, Port Seton, East Lothian and the Dancing Light Gallery, Lamancha, West Lothian. Also in St Columba's annual exhibition and the 3 Harbours Festival in East Lothian.

In 2012 I had a solo glass exhibition with a photographer called 'Web @nd Wood' at Harbour Gallery, Port Seton, East Lothian.
