About

Born in 1985 in the Yorkshire dales near Hebden Bridge, then moved south to the Cotswolds (near Stroud), then Portland for a while before returning to the Cotswolds.
Self taught portrait artist.I am fascinated with what makes us real. What that feeling is that connects us, that allows us to feel someone else's feelings. The unspoken that speaks so loudly in a language with no barriers. Those windows we have that allow us to see into ourselves. We rarely take the opportunity to stand and see each other. To really see behind the suits, the sales smiles, the second skin we wear to disguise ourselves, re invent ourselves, the make-up we hide behind, the wrinkles we are embarrassed of and all those silly things we put up to stop people seeing us.That is what i try to capture through my work, that fragile beauty that sits in every face, through everyone's eyes. That remind us that we are human.
