In my explorations I always steer in the direction of shadowy spheres of psyche and the reality- shadowy not necessarily in the negative sense, but hidden, less known and for that reason considered weird, dangerous or eerie. I look for connections between things, between psyche and matter and expressions of the one in the other - at the heart of my searchings lies de Chirico's "What shall I love if not the enigma."
As far as a "method" is concerned, I like to apply C.G. Jung's concept of active imagination - which I have used always and at some point simply learnt that there actually exists a name for that ;) It serves best my need to search the soul and spirit of things, my own, the world I see - and by that means reach a deeper understanding of it.
My works concentrate on the relation between a figure and its surroundings which on some level constitute an integral part of the rendered entity, serve as a commentary on his/her condition, enable insight.
