Born 1948 in Bradford, West Yorkshire England.
I am a self taught artist having become interested in painting through an illness which resulted in me ceasing my normal occupation. This in itself was an ironic situation because I had always maintained to my wife who had studied art that this was not my scene.However,having to remain at home I started to paint as a form of therapy and soon developed a great interest which gave lots of pleasure and satisfaction too.I prefer to paint with oils, but am always prepared to experiment with others such as acryl,watercolour and sometimes use soft oilpastels and even normal pencil/crayons as I have done with many small sketches,when new ideas come to mind. Particular themes are favoured such as the universe and environment, climate change.
