Born in 1969 in Singapore. I grew up in Devon in thesouth west of England and for the last 10 years I've been living on the Cte d'Azur in France.

I'm trying to create a magic place where the viewer is transported into the painting.
I'm preoccupied with what is beyond reality. Ephemeral, elusive qualities; what is 'aliveness ?' I am moved by certain things, a strange energy, beauty. Painting itself can be very moving and exalting. Laborious and frustrating too. There is something I need to share, stories I need to tell but its hard to find the words to explain painting
