About
Born 1944 in Oxford U.K.
I have made images with all types of cameras since the age of 14, working as freelance Photographer to the private and commercial sector until the mid 90's when I started to taking photographs of the local landscapes and seascapes and holding exhibitions and selling my work through local galleries. In 2004 together with my artist wife Josephine we opened The Estuary Gallery in Leigh-on-Sea as a permanent showcase for my fine art photographs and Josephines paintings.
I am passionate about recording still images of the local area marking a moment in time that conveys the beauty for all to see in the final print. The inspiration for my work comes from the natural world of seascapes and landscapes using light and shadows in the ever changing weather patterns. My images are printed as giclee prints on fine art paper or canvas using photochrome inks to produce archival quality prints.

Self employed freelance Photographer1997 to present. Gradual transition from general photography to Fine Art Photography.Exhibitions. 1997 to 1999. Local libraries and Galleries.2000 to 2001. Studio/residence in Leigh-on-Sea and 'Alternative Art Trail'2001. Secrets of the Essex Shore'2002. 'Buildings of Distinction'At 'Wild about Art'Gallery,Leigh2004 to 2007 Leigh Art Trail at The Estuary Gallery,LeighNovember 2005,2006 and 2007 Exhibition of Limited Edition photographs at Atelier Gallery, 96 Broadway,Leigh-on-Sea,
Ferini Gallery in Pakefield, Suffolk and continuing exhibitions in Galleries in Leigh-on-Sea and exhibition on the Leigh Art Trail each year.
In August 2010 we opened 2 Galleries in Leigh-on-Sea showing my Fine Art Photography. January 2011 closed one Gallery and now work exclusively from The Estuary Gallery at 73 Rectory Grove.
