About

Spent most of childhood in London. I love to paint figurative work showing emotions and daily life experiences. I am fascinated by expressions and the colours of skin. In 2000 I decided to find a job where I could spend more time painting and I also bought a studio to work from. I now paint most days and I have found this has paid off, giving me a greater focus. I mainly paint in oils (Michael Harding)as I love the texture. Nearly all the people in my work are people I know with backgrounds made up from the imagination. Exhibited at Malvern Art gallery and Theatre. Pink Strawberry in Clifton, Bath and Friends of the Royal West of England annual show.
Shown at the Royal West of England open exhibition.
One man show at RWA February 2011.
Accepted for Bath Society of Artists Exhibition Summer 2011. Summer 2012.
Finalist in The Door Prize 2012.
Pre-selected for Threadneedle Prize 2012. Pre-selected for Royal Society of Portrait Painters. In a show called 'Versions of You' with 6 artists from France and England May 2013.
