My work deals with the fusion of dualities. I am interested in the union of beauty and mutation, fragility and preservation, creation and decay.
The physical breakdown of the body, paralleling a flow of energies, is the driving force behind my work. I explore the raw sensations of grief, intimacy, and sacrifice and how their cycles convey impermanence. I am interested in a world where the grotesque becomes the enticing, where the solemn becomes the infatuating.

My works reference dream imagery, childhood memories, and taxidermy practices. The subject matter is derived from local woodland animals, frequently deceased. Their bodies form a totemic language through which I process my environment. They suggest the vulnerability of the body and the ease with which it can be overwhelmed or transformed. They are parallels to the human condition, sickly and unsettling, yet delicate and tender. My work is a conglomeration of the elegant and the bitter, of power and helplessness, of guilt and necessity. Within these accumulations of fur, tissue, and eyes, these creatures and forms have become my justification for a world that blends hope and suffering. They are primal sensations of curiosity, the moments I’ve not yet found words for.
