Gudrun Mertes-Frady was born in Cologne, Germany, where she received her education in painting and art history at the KOELNER WERKSCHULE, (Academy for Art and Design). She moved to New York in 1981. The artists paintings and drawings have been exhibited in the US and Europe over the past twenty years. Her work has been consistently well reviewed, and is represented in numerous public and private collections including The Busch-Reisinger Museum at Harvard University; The Rockefeller University. New York City; Werner Kramasky Collection, NY; Cohen and Lord, Malibu; Thomas Weisel Partners, San Francisco and Universal Music, London, England.
