At the moment I am looking for new representation.. A gallery to exhibit and have a possibly long lasting professional relation with. Please contact me through this site or my personal site.
I see my paintings as a means of communication which conveys actual or historical phenomena. The paintings must have a radiance of 'joie de vivre' and show the physicality and working process in the painting. Pieces of fabric, leather or thread are applied to the canvas to add to the objectification of the subject. This will trigger the viewer to reflect upon similar imagery they come across every day in magazines or on the internet. That's why I choose to work with specific colors and a specific palette.
I like to study my topics very carefully and they keep me occupied for some time before they start to take shape. Additions, omissions or suspensions in my work through reflection might result out of that.
