I was born and grew up in the city of Hong Kong. Later, my family moved to the Pacific island of Guam where I studied art and graduated from the University of Guam. Living on the island was as exciting as growing up in the city. Vast expanses of city space versus enclosed coconut groves, a neon-lit metropolis versus the natural colors of a tropical village-the contrast of each world, equally beautiful in their respective materialities, carves a path along which I explore the meaning of structures and symbols in different cultures. Through the sculpted forms, symbolic figures, and mystical landscapes that inhabit my canvases, I challenge the ways in which worlds perceive definitions of truth and beauty.
My work includes drawing, painting and photography. Portrait, figures and architecture are my main subjects through out my creative process. They are the constant changing landscape to me.
