Born 1960,Napier New Zealand.Tena koutou.Hello,I like painting,writing,and building communities.Oh and cycling and what we call tramping (trekking,hiking)I live in rural Foxton on 5 acres with my partner and three children

Duncan has been painting for a number of years after taking it up in his late twenties.
He is largely self taught, although early on was inspired by artist Darcy Nicholas with whom he took night classes. He variously is a teacher, an industrial designer, a builder and an artist. In the nineties he won a number of awards including Telecom Regional Art Awards (Hawkes Bay and Auckland),Manawatu District Council Supreme Award in 1998.he has been a finalist in heaps of others.He has exhibited and had work sold in galleries around the country and overseas.
Duncan is working toward painting fulltime and does commissions including book covers, cd covers, illustrations and frescoes.
Among his wide range of interests are writing poetry, riding his bike and hanging around doing cool stuff with his partner and three children.
He is inspired by almost everything on this li'l ol' planet(except horses).
